One argued: “That’s lab-grown chicken. It’s a new way of producing chicken. Because of the bird flu and resource shortages over the last few years, they didn’t have any products, so last year they announced they found a way to produce chicken in a lab, and that’s what’s in stores now.”

“GMO lab-grown meat,” another wrote.

A third decided, “It’s fake and I’m not buying it anymore.”

Another user offered a more logical explanation for the shredded chicken breast: “It’s not lab-grown meat or 3D-printed meat. It comes from real chickens. The problem is that greedy chicken farmers force-feed them growth hormones to make them grow too fast.”
