Bethany Provencher, a single mother of an 11-year-old, bravely left Miami after 18 years for a fresh start in St. Charles, Illinois. With 25 years of experience in customer service, she quickly found work as a server at IHOP. Though she secured a new apartment, she couldn’t afford to furnish it.
